Uma Thurman - Thurman Does Jury Duty

UMA THURMAN landed back in court this month (Apr08) as she awaits the trial of a man accused of stalking her - she has been put on jury duty.

The actress was recently forced to undergo jury selection in New York City with other randomly-picked members of the public.

Thurman wasn't selected and admits she was disappointed to miss out, although it would have caused her career chaos, as she is currently busy promoting new movie The Life Before Her Eyes.

The star reveals, "I was on jury duty downtown. it was a misdemeanour case. I wasn't selected. but I got quite excited by the thought of it.

"But I was nervous, because if it's been a long case it would have caused problems. How do you tell that to the producers of a movie?"

Thurman will get her day in court when the delayed trial of Jackson Jordan kicks off. Jordan, 36, stands accused of attempting to gain entry to Thurman's trailer on a New York movie shoot, and sending her letters and drawings, including a sketch of the actress digging his grave.
